Staycations – perfect opportunity for vacation home rentals

Family vacation time all over the US.  Lets head out on the road........Ohh energy prices reached another record.  Plane fares are out of reach for families traveling together, and the old family wagon, high-tech or not, is going to require a second mortgage to make the long trip.

BUT, if the family does not get away they are liable to drive each other absolutely crazy.  At best.  So what are the options - day-trips to the local zoo, museum, and regional park.  Not quite enough to take the edge off.  A bit more is needed.

That is where the new Staycation comes in.  It is an 'at home' or 'local' (within say 100-200 miles) vacation that does not break the bank to get to.  I am firm believer pishing the staycation out of the home.  This provides that change of scenery, new attractions & activities, as well as space for the family to spread out.  Space to spread out?  Not in a hotel room!

That is where the opportunity for vacation home rentals comes in.  Many vacation home rentals are located in areas which make them perfect for staycations, and the house makes the stay easy on the budget, as well as the nerves for the guests.

I suggest that we explore our local areas and nearby cities for the 2008 staycation crowd.  Adapt your website and search engine marketign to this group.  They are out there.  Intensely trying to figure out how to take that family trip without breaking the bank with travel costs.
